Frequently Asked Questions

How do I get started? |

First, sign up for a free account. Just click on the "Signup"
link on the left side of the screen under CONTENTS. Fill out the form
provided and click on "Register Me".

Check your the email address that you entered in the sign up form for a message from us. If you don't see it in your
inbox,
check your bulk, junk, or spam folder. Click the activation link inside of the
email to verify your account. If you do
not receive this activation email within 24 hours, please contact
us.

Login to your Traffic Patch account using the same user name and password
that you entered in the sign up form and click on one of the "begin
surfing" buttons.

Begin viewing sites and earning credits. You will need to surf at least 10
sites to fully activate your account

How do I earn credits? |
| Every time you log
into your Traffic Patch account you can either choose to Manual surf or auto
surf. Just click on either button and you can begin to view other members
sites... also known as "surfing".
You will
notice at either at the top or bottom of the page there will be a surf bar. This
has your username, a link to your account , a link to report a site, a
link to open the current site in a new window and a link to purchase additional
credits. after the timer counts down you will see word 'Click ' followed by a small picture
of a symbol To the
right of this will be 4 more symbols- simply click on the matching symbol.
As a free member
when you
click on the correct symbol that matches the first one, you will earn 0.5
credits. Furthermore, if you upgrade your account, you will earn credits whenever the members
that you refer view member sites with the Traffic Patch surf bar.
PLEASE
NOTE: Any method of earning credits that does not involve YOU actually
looking at the member sites shown in the surf window is a violation of the TERMS
OF USE and you could lose your account. |
How many manual credits can I earn in a day? |
| Right
now there are no limits on the number of manual credits you can earn
each day, however you must view each site the
required length of time (15 sec) for free members. |
How many Auto surf credits can I earn in a day? |
| Currently
Free and Pro members can earn 900 auto surf credits and our Premium members are allowed
to earn 1000 auto surf credits each day. |
How do I assign credits? |
| When you log into your Traffic Patch account you will
be directed to the MAIN MEMBER PAGE. On the left hand side of this page under
the CONTENTS click on the
link that says "Assign Credits".
Under the heading "Assign Your Credits" You will see the amount
of Manual and auto surf credits you have available. Simply enter the amount of
manual credits to assign and click the "Assign" button. To
assign the auto credits enter the amount and use the drop down box to select
"auto" and click on the assign button. |
What is auto-assigning? |
| Auto assigning means simply that the credits that you have earned by surfing
and from your referrals are automatically applied to the site (s) that you have listed. To
set this feature, click on the "assign credits" link under the
CONTENTS section. Enter the percentage of credits that you want auto-assigned
and click on "Set Auto Assign" |
How do I add more sites? |
When you log into your Traffic Patch account you will
be directed to the MAIN MEMBER PAGE. On the left hand side of this page under
CONTENTS click on the
link that says "My Sites". This page is where you will
add your additional website addresses .

How do I add a banner? |
| When you log into your Traffic Patch account you will
be directed to the MAIN MEMBER PAGE. On the left hand side of this page under CONTENTS,
click on the
link that says "My Banners". This page is where you will
add your banner address. Enter a title in the first box, the address of the
actual banner in the second box, and your banner's affiliate link in the third
box. |
I can't log in, what's wrong? |
Have you activated your account? (Check your
e-mail for the confirmation email).
Make sure that you are entering your username and password correctly.
Usernames are all lowercase letters, and Passwords are case-sensitive
(uppercase and lowercase matter). If this does not work please contact
us.

Can I buy more credits, and how much does it cost? |
Yes! Members may purchase more
credits by clicking on the "Buy Credits"
link found on the left hand side of the MAIN MEMBER PAGE under CONTENTS. If credits are available, the cost
varies depending on the package you choose.

Can I change the website I am promoting? |
| Yes you can. Simply
click on the "My Sites" section and you can make any
changes you need to make there. |
Can I promote more than one website? |
Yes! Free Members may have up to 3 sites, Pro members may have up to 15 sites and Premium members may have an unlimited number of sites designated in the system.

What happens if I run out of credits? |
Once you run out of credits your page is no longer displayed. You can
continue to earn more credits for free, or you can purchase credits from us.

If I get an error message on a website do I still get credit? |
| Yes. The
page you were trying to view had a problem and could not be shown-just wait
for the timer and click as usual.

How do I refer people? |
Click on the "Referrals" link found in the CONTENTS area. Here you will find your affiliate link
that you can use to promote The Traffic
Patch. When someone joins, using this link, they will be
automatically entered as your referral.
DO NOT USE SPAM in your advertising efforts. We have a zero tolerance
spam policy and your account will be terminated without recourse upon the first
complaint!
REMEMBER: if you do not know the person you are emailing, do not
send them an email about joining The Traffic Patch. This includes auto responders,
and Free For All Page auto response messages. If you need help with ways to
promote your Traffic Patch referral page, please contact
us and we will make
suggestions. |
How does surfing help me advertise? |
| Easy!! Each time you visit other websites by
surfing you
will earn "credits". Each credit that you earn will allow one of your
pages to be shown to another person. We offer both Auto Surf and Manual
Surfing options.
The Traffic Patch will show your website to other users, at a cost of 1
"credit" each time your website is shown. So, as long as you have
"credits" available, your site will be shown to other Traffic Patch
users. |
How fast are my credits used up? |
The time it will take to use up your credits depends on the number of
members in the system each day, and the speed at which you are earning credits to
replace those that are used up.

Hey, something's wrong with this site! |
| While we always try our best, we
know problems will occur! If you have a problem please contact us
and tell us about it. We will reward your
account with free credits for helping us to build the best traffic
exchange on the internet!

When I try to sign up I get an error message about 'inadmissable characters' what's up? |
| You cannot have any spaces or characters in your user name or site name. These special characters are NOT allowed in your user name or your site name: $ % ( ) + , - . ! = @ [ ] ^ _ ` { } ~ " * / : < > ? \ | ' & ; #

The Auto Surf keeps kicking me out when I'm using Internet Explorer! |
| On some older computers The Traffic Patch Auto Surf will not run properly in Internet Explorer. Make sure that you have plenty of memory space available when you surf sites.
We recommend using the Firefox Internet Browser when you Auto Surf. You can download a free version here: http://www.mozilla.com/ |
